‘Occupy Central’: Student Protest, Hong Kong, 6th October 2014

Student protesters at Admiralty, Hong Kong, yesterday were warned to end their blockade overnight and give civil servants free access to the Government Complex, or they will be cleared by force.

For the past week, student protesters occupy Hennessy Road, Causeway Bay, shutting down one of Hong Kong’s premier tourist shopping prescient.

The typical umbrella became the iconic symbol of ‘Occupy Central’ when it was used to shelter the student protesters from the riot police tear-gas bombardment.
