Nude Studies: Part 2

Having discovered the negative positive relationship within the composition of the female figure, I found it easy to delineate various postures in one continuous non-stop motion, without pre-planning, and or erasing any previous lines. Each composition is done on 4” X 6” card-stock, with Niji Yasutomo, Stylist, black felt pens. However I found the felt pens created a harsh image, and I soon experimented with Staedtler 2B and 4B Mars Lumograph pencils. These pencils gave the composition a softer ‘feel’ to the image, and allowed the opportunity to add light shading.
