Once There was a Time

Once there was a time
When all I did was explore
To enjoy life’s beauty
To watch the boats go by and
To enjoy the moments of
Of Mother Nature’s ways.

Once there was a time
When the little things I found created excitement
As I strolled many promenade’s pathways,
Listening to the rhythm
Of the water against the shore,
And wishing these times
Would last forever.

Once there was a time
When the thrill of the day
Was to laze and wander aimlessly,
Ignoring the consequences
Of being nonchalant and absent from the chores of
My daily works in life.

Now I know how to appreciate
The peaceful splendor of the times I spent
Observing, sketching and understanding
How I can easily create meaning and purpose in my efforts.
It is my hope that my sketches can influence and encourage
Those whom are interested in their own
Sketching Journeys.
