Richard Meier’s Shenzhen OCT Bay Clubhouse

I was pleasantly surprised to discover Richard Meier’s Shenzhen Clubhouse in OCT Harbour, China.  Situated on an island in the centre of OCT Bay, it is a striking edifice of white metal vertical panels against the background sky.

I could only admire it from the opposite bank of the Bay because it is a private clubhouse for the residential properties of the OCT Harbour Project; China’s newest International entertainment destination. Not to be disappointed I did a quick miniature sketch to capture the essence of the elevation.
