I Visited Shanghai Expo 2010

November 3, 2010

Unfortunately it was raining so I did what visitors did: shoot photos! Rats! It was the last day of general admission visits, so I wandered around and looked at the exterior of the famous pavilions. I managed to do a sketch (standing under the shelter of a canopy) of a detail that you would never see in any expo books. It is the complex timber roof detail of the Shanghai International Horticultural Exposition 2011 pavilion.  It is a master piece of timber construction that fits together like a jigsaw puzzle.
