More Conceptual Waterfront Sketches

March 6, 2010

Here are 3 more conceptual waterfront sketches. These were not sketched from photographs, but rather from memory. Once you have the general principle of how to compose the perspective, the process of creating the idea becomes less complex.

In these sketches pedestrian access to the water, and promenade activities, were the ideas I wanted to illustrate. If you recall my sketching tips, you can clearly see 3 layers in these sketches: fore-ground, middle-ground & back-ground.

These were conceptual sketches to illustrate some ideas.
Thanks Joy! And thanks Elaine for purchasing my sketchbook. I sketched these while I was in Dubai. They were part of our entry into the Waterfront Ideas Competition. Great ideas came out of that competition from submission from all over the world, but the outcome did not affect our Government Planners.

Thanks also to Stephanie and Linton. Let’s see some of your sketches someday!
