Virtual Surface
Here’s a sketch where I use what I refer to as “simple lines” to create a virtual surface. In this example the wall in the Nave of Le Corbusier’s Dominican Monastery of La Tourette: parallel lines vanishing towards the horizon. Drawing the lines to delineate the ceiling and the floor quickly “create” the surface and volume of the “space”.
I love those beautiful simple lines which capture the essence. As Mies put in – LESS is MORE.
Thank you Dear, Strong support from you brings warmth to my heart and makes me feel useful.
Love you!
